Feel discomfort or feel that your clothes are not very flattering over your bra? Maybe the band keeps riding up, your straps slip off, the underwire jabs the sides? You may be wearing the wrong size! But we’re here to help.

How To Know Your Right Bra Size

Just take out a measuring tape and follow these instructions:

Keep in mind, however, that weight gain or loss, or pregnancy, can affect a change in bra size.

Step 1: Find Out Your Band Size

Wrap a measuring tape under your bust where a bra band would sit. Make sure it’s snug and round to the nearest whole number. Even number? Add four inches. Odd? Add give. If the measurement is 32 inches, the band size would be 36.

Step 2: Find Our Your Bust Size

Bring the measuring tape loosely around the fullest part of your breasts and round to the nearest whole number.

Step 3: Figure Out Your Cup Size

Subtract your band size from your bust size. Example: 37 inches (bust) – 34 inches (band) = 3 inches. That would mean you are a 34C.

Now take these tests: bend forward and hook your bra so that your breasts are in the cups. One finger should fit underneath the band.

If the straps fall, tighten the band and shorten the straps. Stand in front of a mirror and view yourself from the side. Your breasts should be in the middle between your shoulders and elbows.

If you need to go down a cup size, go up one band size. And vice versa.

Example: if 34C is too roomy, move to 36B. Your fit should not be too loose or too tight but just right.

The bra should fit perfectly when secured on the outermost hook. When the bra loosens over time, tighten the band by using the innermost hook.
